Assisting Sri Lankan players has been Coach Desilva's passion. In 1973, his father late Mr. Vincent Desilva and mother Lanie, assistaed Coach Desilva (Purdue University) and his junior doubles partner Eugene  Joseph, (Virginia Tech),  to travel to the U.S. on Tennis Scholarships. In the mid 1970's Coach Desilva assited his sister Gayathri (University of Illinois), and brother Chammika (Indiana Weslyan University), to study in the U.S. high schools and Universities. Now, he is focusing on current Sri Lankan Tennis talent.  

Players from Amalnathan Tennis School (ANTS) of Colombo Sri Lanka, was offered a Tennis Tour of Northern Indiana Tournaments of the U.S.T.A., in the months of June and July 2005. Sri Lankan coach and players were hosted by the Memorial Community Tennis Association (MCTA) during this 6 week tournament series. This tour was repeated in 2006 as well.
